  • Summary

    We’re looking for a Technical Artist Developer role in an Agile game development environment who is experienced in Unity, After Effects, and C#. This role acts as the bridge between Art and Engineering by implementing the art assets into the game, maintaining both the creative vision of the artists and the technical performance metrics of the game.

    This individual will be hands-on in Unity and After Effects to integrate the game’s assets and must have a keen eye for detail. The role is part of a cross-functional development team and must work collaboratively with their team to deliver games at the highest level of quality. The successful candidate will understand slot game design and be able to faithfully translate the creative vision of a game into Unity.

    What You'll Do

    With a broad understanding of technical issues related to graphics and animation such as rendering, performance, streaming and memory management, maintain art and animation production workflows and technical art pipeline.

    Study and understand the design of an existing game and collaborate with the team to create a plan and structure which supports the game’s design.

    Passion for gaming and a user-driven mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional player experiences.

    Reproduce assets as necessary to replicate existing designs onto new platforms.

    Learn and master our custom toolsets, providing feedback and enhancements to pipelines when appropriate.

    Deliver error-free assets on time to a level of functional and aesthetic quality appropriate to the game requirements.

    Ability to process and maintain a large volume of art assets.

    Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risk, as well as quickly and accurately resolve unexpected issues that can occur during the development process.

    Maintain excellent file organization and follow established processes for asset creation and management, output configuration, Intellectual Property, and reference material etc.

    Conduct Game Analysis including requirements assessment and art reviews.

    Keep up to date on the latest developments within the gaming industry.

    Ensure relevant processes regarding asset management, file organization, output configuration is clearly and correctly executed.

    Schedule and manage time efficiently - work with agile development leaders to plan work.

    Deliver assets on time to specification with a deep attention to detail.

    Ability to support other technical art and art roles with training, mentorship, or documentation to encourage the adoption of new technology.

    What We're Looking For

    • Bachelor’s degree in art or equivalent work experience of 5+ years in relevant field.

    • 5+ years of experience developing 2D/3D games using Unity.

    • 5+ years of experience in Adobe CC (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).

    • 2+ years of experience developing 2D/3D casino slot games.

    • 2+ years of experience in 3D design tools, such as 3DS Max.

    • 2+ years of experience as a member of an Agile game development team, reflecting your adaptability in dynamic environments.

    • 2+ years of experience using asset storage systems (Perforce, Github, SVN).

    • Strong portfolio of shipped titles that demonstrates experience with Unity animation tools and techniques.

    • Strong knowledge of image processing and asset optimization (cropping, merging of layers, exporting, sprite packing, real-time vs pre-rendered assets, etc.).

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.

    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
